The Good News
Even if you are already saved, I am excited to share the Gospel with you. The word “Gospel” means good news, and it truly is the greatest news you will ever hear — or be reminded of.
Satan hates your life. He will do anything in his power to drown out the truth of the Gospel and deafen your ears to it. He wants to distract you and pull you away. He will use persecution, money, friends, family — anything you love — to make you throw away the greatest opportunity of your life.
But sometimes he doesn’t even have to try. If your eyes are blinded by sin, you won’t understand the Gospel on your own, and Satan’s job is already done.
If that’s where you are, do not be afraid. If you don’t know what faith is, take heart. If you doubt, stop and cry out — because God hears the cry of despair and rescues those who call on Him. For all who call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13. He will give you understanding if you ask.
But how will you hear the Good News if no one shares it with you? As Christians, we are commanded by God to bring this message to the world. If we are His disciples, we will obey Him.
So sit down and listen, because God’s message of love is about to be shared!
God’s Love From the Beginning
The Good News is God’s plan to redeem mankind and destroy the works of the Devil.
God’s love for you is endless — deeper than the sea, higher than the sky, and greater than life itself. The Psalmist writes, “How great are Your thoughts toward me, O God, how vast the sum of them. If I should count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand.”
This love is woven into the very beginning of creation and displayed in all of Scripture. In the Old Testament, God made a covenant with His people — and they broke it. They turned to other gods, rejected His blessings, and brought curses on themselves. The prophets called them again and again to repent. God held His arms open every single day, longing to bless them, yet they turned away. They traded the righteous, infinitely valuable God for worthless filfth and rotten pleasures.
The Old Testament stands as a warning to us. Those who reject God’s love will suffer the consequences of that rejection. God is love, and in Him there is no darkness at all — but those who reject Him are full of darkness. They follow their father, the Devil, and go where he is going. Satan is the father of lies, and he will tell you anything to keep you from the love of God.
The Promise Fulfilled
Ever since mankind fell, God has been lovingly and relentlessly pursuing us. He promised He would redeem mankind and restore fellowship with Him. The faithful people of the Old Testament looked forward to that promise. They knew they could not save themselves — they had to trust in the coming Messiah to deliver them from the destruction that sin brings. They lived by faith, and their faith was shown through how they lived.
God kept His promise. He sent the Messiah — His name is Jesus.
Jesus came to carry out God’s perfect plan. God sent Him so that whoever believes in Him would not perish but have eternal life. To believe in Jesus means you trust that He will rescue you. You cry out to God, confess that you are a sinner, believe that He will save you — and He will.
You cannot save yourself. Only God can. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Nothing can separate you from God’s love once you have accepted it — and you accept it because God chose you. You know He chose you because you receive His gift. John 5:13 shows us that you can know you are saved.
What Jesus Did
Jesus Christ paid for our sins so that we don’t have to. Good deeds cannot pay for sin. Punishing ourselves cannot pay for sin. God alone determines what covers our guilt, and His answer is blood — either ours, or Jesus’s. Our good deeds are like filthy rags before The Holy God. Our self-punishment falls far too short.
But Jesus paid the full cost on the cross. He is the spotless Lamb of God, and that is exactly why He is able to save us. He provided a way of escape. He physically rose from the dead, conquering death itself — and He is coming back soon.
This is the greatest news in all of history. God loves you so much that He sent His own Son to die in your place. That is an incredible love. He does not want you to live in worry and fear. He wants you to bear fruit, and so He prunes you. He disciplines those He loves.
Do Not Reject His Love
The world cannot make sense of this because they are blind to it. They are invited to a wedding feast, but they kill those who invite them. They love their sin more than they love God. They prefer the temporary pleasures of sin over the eternal pleasures of God — not realizing that their worst moment on earth is still the greatest blessing they will ever experience, because for those who reject God, hell comes next. A place with no blessings. Only unending pain.
But God’s love is shining today. Now is the day of salvation.
I cry out to God for you. Remember His love and do not reject it. God’s love for you is a fire that cannot be quenched — and He loves you far more than you know.
