1. Sin Entered the World Through Disobedience

God created mankind to have fellowship with Him, but Adam and Eve disobeyed God’s command, bringing sin and death into the world.

Genesis 2:16-17 — “And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”

Genesis 3:6 — “And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food… she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.”

Because of sin, mankind became separated from God.

Romans 5:12 — “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.”

2. We Have All Fallen Short

Every person has sinned and cannot make themselves righteous before God.

Romans 3:23 — “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”

Romans 3:10 — “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.”

Isaiah 64:6 — “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags.”

3. Sin Brings Death, But God Offers Life

Sin separates us from God and brings judgment, but God has provided a way of forgiveness.

Romans 6:23 — “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Isaiah 59:2 — “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you.”

4. Jesus Paid the Price for Our Sin

God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to take our punishment and provide salvation.

John 3:16 — “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Romans 5:8 — “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

2 Corinthians 5:21 — “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

5. Jesus Rose From the Dead

Jesus defeated sin and death through His resurrection.

1 Corinthians 15:3-4 — “Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”

6. Salvation Comes Through Faith

We are not saved by our works, but by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 2:8-9 — “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Romans 10:9 — “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

7. Repent and Follow Christ

God calls us to turn from sin and live a new life through Christ.

Acts 3:19 — “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out.”

2 Corinthians 5:17 — “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Romans 12:1-2 — “Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

8. Can We Know We Are Saved?

God gives assurance to those who trust in Christ.

1 John 5:13 — “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life.”

Romans 8:16 — “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.”

9. Living for Christ

A follower of Jesus grows in faith, prayer, love, and obedience.

2 Peter 3:18 — “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”

1 Thessalonians 5:17 — “Pray without ceasing.”

Galatians 5:22-23 — “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.”

Matthew 28:19-20 — “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations… teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.”

Why Share the Gospel?

God desires all people to come to Him through Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 3:9 — “Not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

Acts 4:12 — “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

Romans 10:14 — “How shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?”

Today Is the Day of Salvation

Do not delay turning to Christ.

2 Corinthians 6:2 — “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”

Hebrews 3:7-8 — “To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your hearts.”
